Ceramics.........

I have started a pottery class.............it is soooooooo relaxing to sit and mold clay......my creations are extremely 'organic' but I'm certainly having fun playing around.


Here is my coil bottle, slab cheese and dip set and my daughter keira made herself a cheeky dish.


This dish unfortunately came out with a lovely big crack in it......I have another cooking this week to replace it.

Coil bottle at different angles........I'm looking for a better angle to photograph it from.....there doesn't seem to be one :)

I have made a few spoon rests.....this was my first one so I kept it.

Hand Made Pottery....

I received my new hand made pottery bowl yesterday........it's really really lovely.

Here is mum's......

and I got a little something extra in the package which has a perfect spot waiting for it.....

They are such a lovely gift idea......I'm going to get one made up for a special teacher or two and a some friends as well. Really lovely !

Etsy purchase....

After finding Leesa Brinkley's adorable pottery work on Jennifer Lee's as usual wonderful blog Let your Creativity Flow - I quickly jumped on Etsy and made a purchase ........then found myself back within hours purchasing another for my mum ! What wonderful little creations, and such a great gift for a special friend. I can't wait to get mine in the mail.
