I simply adore Sarah Thomas's work...... her fabulous artwork makes me smile. It's relaxed and 'feel good' appeal has inspired me to pick up the paint brush again and also try out some charcoal myself. I love it !

yum...I just love brown for bedrooms....... I also can't help but lurve Nate Berkus.......this rooom displays how comforting lush browns can be hmmmmmm.

Hot Chocolate

Grounding warm delicious brown. It's the colour of sinfully good things !!!

Think chocolate, latte or deep espresso. You can't help feel good when you see it.

It's a neutral hue connected with nature, realiability and the earth. . Take a look next time you go the the supermarket and you'll discover that brown is a colour associated with cereals and breads and other healthy products. Packaging for recycled products often use brown.

Comparing the brown and orange mixes used in the sixties, today's browns are much more subtle.

While it is rich and luxurious and terribly sophisticated, brown is also secure and comforting.

Tips:

Brown works best in rooms with fair amount of natural light or could start to look muddy and drab.

Cosy and comforting brown is a wonderful choice for bedrooms and living areas.

I have to say I take inspiration from my beautiful birman pussycats !!! The pure white little feet and their creamy fur that slowly blends into a gorgeous deep chocolate not to mention the stunning accent of their brillant blue eyes ahhhhhhhh. It's such a effortlessy elegant colour scheme that I adore.

Owls at Yumiyumi

My daughter's obsession at the moment is owls. I found these gorgeous little prints on etsy.com in the yumiyumi shop......I love them !!! I also discovered that Aline has a blog spot yumiyumi art and I see that I am not the only one who has noticed her lovely work !!

Real Estate

Before I discovered the wonderful world of blogging I would scour the internet for inspiration often turning to the latest real estate listings for a sneak peak into other people's worlds.....here are some recent finds that struck a cord with me.............I'm thinking I may have had a bit too much sun this summer - alot of these seem to have that coastal feeling................maybe I need another holiday !

Tara's Kitchen

I ADORE duck-egg blue.......here are some images from Tara Dennis's gorgeous kitchen with a custom mixed Murobond colour she named "bowl".

The fresh white window and ceilings are Dulux Designer White, the cupboards are Laminex Parchement a lovely warm soft white.

I'm very excited to find a new blog to enjoy Kris's Color Stripes.......I just adore how she creates such beautiful colour palettes for all of her stunning photographs..........I remember how obsessed I was with creating my own colour palettes when I started studying design. Her eye for colour is enviable, I look forward regulary checking out her site!!!

This is my attempt at creating my own blog.......I am obsessed with colour and am compulsively always changing my decor.

I have been inspired by so many blogs here I thought it might be fun to have a crack at creating my own collection of images and ideas that make my heart skip a beat.

I work as a colour consultant and dabble in a bit of artwork............well....here I go !!!
